Mostly Mozart
Thursday, 30 October: I love Mozart! So I was very excited to go the Royal Festival Hall for a concert consisting of Mozart's Sinfonia concertante for violin, viola, and orchestra in E flat, and Bruckner's Symphony No. 4 in E flat. Bruckner's symphony was obviously romantic. It has grand sweeping melodies and more instruments involved than the Mozart piece. But because of my love for Mozart's work on the whole, I prefered it above the other piece that evening. I loved how the melody was bounced back and forth between the violin and viola. It just had that definite Mozart sound to it. There was a beautiful simplicity. The Bruckner symphony was full of sound and emotion as befitting a romantic piece. And it isn't Mozart's fault that there were some instruments yet to be used or invented at the time. I was also very proud of the fact that I was able to remain awake the whole time. It takes a fair bit of work to just sit listening to music from seven to nine at night. But it was very much worth it. Music is so much more different in person than it is on a recording.

Try emailing the pattern to yourself. Googledocs apparently has a limit to the number of times a file can be downloaded per day. And it isn't very many. If that doesn't work, go to Ravelry, search for The Queen Susan, and click the link. That's a temporary web server that someone set up for the pattern.
Have a lovely holiday!
